Nicolaus Wollf 2000 – outstanding classical guitar with extremely good, transparent and voluminous sound.

Nicolaus Wollf is one of the outstanding guitar makers in Germany. He retired in 2018, so this guitar is a rare opportunity to get one of his master instruments. He started making guitars in 1966 and completed his apprenticeship with master guitar maker Ernest Köröskeny and then with master guitar maker Dieter Hopf, in whose workshop he also worked at the beginning.
He then worked as a self-employed guitar maker for many years until he retired in 2018.
Nicolaus Wollf is known in an astonishing number of fields. He has great experience in restoring historical guitars and restored an Antonio de Torres, of which you can find many articles on the internet. He also masterfully rebuilt this Torres and caused great enthusiasm in the guitar world with this reproduction.
His knowledge is also highly appreciated in modern guitar building and customers from all over the world commissioned him with the most diverse guitar models (Double Top, Lattice, traditional Spanish … and much more).

This guitar from the year 2000 is a fantastic masterpiece by Nicolaus Wollf. It has a fine cedar top and back and sides of magnificent rosewood. The scale length is 650 mm and the nut width 52 mm.

It is very light and powerful in sound but also balanced at the same time. It is a very well made instrument and the playability is very comfortable.
This guitar was made for the highest demands of concert guitarists. The instrument has a fast response, a long sustain and an even sound balance over the whole fingerboard as well as an excellent projection.
The tone woods and all materials used are of the highest quality to produce the best possible tone.

There are only a few traces of play and use visible and overall the instrument is in very good condition. The tuners are from Gotoh and a light and good case is included.
