a dream - our Louis Panormo from 1832 is very beautiful and sounds so nice!

This particular 1832 Louis Panormo guitar was Panormo’s top regular model, with brazilian rosewood back and sides and a mother of pearl rosette. It was made in the Spanish style with seven fan braces (yes before Torres). It has the most beautiful tuners by Baker which over 185 years later still work perfectly. An exceptionally complete and playable instrument with original tuners and complete and intact original coffin case.

It has been restored and some cracks has been glued – everything you’d expect from a guitar that age. Now it again presents itself in a nice condition.

It has a remarkably full tone. Amazing how loud this small guitar can be. The tone has been beautifully matured and presents the most beautiful timbres you can imagine. The combination of Brazilian rosewood and spruce on this guitar is pure magic. This is the perfect guitar for someone who is searching for a beautiful and yet ... See more

YuLong Guo Double Top Classical Guitar

The Doubletop Chamber Concert model by guitar builder Yulong Guo is a professional concert guitar of the highest standard. The craftsmanship of this Chinese builder is easy to recognize in the woodworking and painting and is also reflected in the wonderful acoustic characteristics of this beautiful guitar.

This guitar has a cedar double-top and lattice bracing. It has an additional sound hole on the side near the heal of the neck. The vaulted “violin back” and the sides are made of East Indian rosewood and give the guitar an amazing volume and projection. An armrest made of rosewood, very flat frets and a low action make this guitar exceptionally easy and comfortable to play.
The basses are powerful without imposing too much and the treble sounds very lovely and brilliant.

Christoph Sembdner classical guitar from 2014 - a perfect guitar from a great master!
.
Christoph Sembdner has been building guitars since 1990 and has been teaching lutherie at the University of applied Sciences Zwickau in his hometown of Markneukirchen, East Germany. In addition to this post, which he has held since 1999, he was invited by the private vocational school in Moss/Norway in 1995 to establish a guitar department and take over the task of teaching guitar making. His building style is greatly influenced by Torres/Hauser patterns that he learned while attending Romanillos masterclasses.
.
Christoph Sembdner’s guitars are structurally based on the famous 1973 Romanillos of Julian Bream, primarily in how he constructs and braces his soundboards. They also manage to capture a remarkably similar sound, just as is heard in some of Bream’s finer moments, including his famous recording of Albeniz and Granados. It is quite startling actually just how much his instruments sound ... See more

... Louis Panormo - an incredibly beautiful romantic guitar from 1832 - all original!!!!!
.
The French-born Louis Panormo (1784-1862), and his brothers, were 19th century England’s finest guitar makers and among the only luthiers outside Spain making guitars “in the Spanish style,” as the labels in Louis’ guitars note.
.
It is said that his guitars were closer to the modern Torres style guitar than any other maker of his day, but luthier and scholar Richard Brune has described Panormo’s guitars as closer in inspiration to the pre-Torres makers of Cadiz and Málaga.
.
Louis Panormo was one of Fernando Sor’s recommended luthiers, but Sor’s visit to Panormo’s Bloomsbury shop during his London stay was to visit Louis’ older brother, Joseph (1767-1837).

This is a fantastic peghead flamenco guitar built by Manuel Contreras. Contreras made some magnificent flamenco guitars and this one is no exception.Being very lightweight and lively, this guitar is great fun to play, and the sound is pure flamenco. ... Manuel Reyes (1934-2014) is doubtlessly the most famous flamenco guitar maker in Spain at the time of his death.
.
Manuel’s stature was such that Luis F. Leal Pinar devoted an entire chapter in “Guitarreros de Andalucia” (2004) to him. Manuel made only about 20 guitars a year. His flamenco guitars were in such demand, and his waiting list was so long, that he stopped taking new orders more than 20 years ago. Since his death, the demand for his guitar has only increased.
