Juan Miguel Gonzalez 2004 – amazing sounding flamenco guitar from Almeria.

This wonderful Guitar was built by Juan Miguel Gonzalez in 2004 who is widely recognized as one of the great luthiers living today. Juan Miguel Gonzalez was born in Almeria in 1947 and was taught by his father Miguel Gonzalez Abad (1906-1989), who in turn had apprenticed with the Moya brothers (who were close friends with Antonio Torres and learned from him). This is why Juan Miguel Gonzalez is considered as the last legacy of Antonio de Torres.

Juan Miguel’s guitars have a special duende professional players seek and love. To name but a few of his clients: Tomatito, Norberto Torres, Monolo Franco, Carlos Piñana, and El Niño de la Manola. As is typical of the guitars made by Juan Miguel Gonzalez instruments, this instrument is made of master grade woods. Its top is made using the best spruce, the back and sides are made from impeccable cypress.

This guitars 652mm scale and 52mm nut is characteristic. The set up is great: low, fast, without buzz.

The sound of this flamenco guitar is simply spectacular, due to the volume in particular and the quality in general: The basses are powerful and deep, with an incredible flamenco sound. The highs are well defined, with an amazing range.
It has an exquisite tone which is sweet, beautiful and lyrical while retaining the bite and energy of an excellent flamenco guitar.

The guitar is in a very good condition with a small amount of play wear. It comes with a guitar case.
