This Gibson LG-2 from the early 50’s is the real deal – rocked hard, with a sound to die for! It is a harmonically rich acoustic guitar, with a ton of vibe and a great “opened-up” tone as well as excellent playability – exactly how we want them.
This nice guitar solid spruce and mahogany construction, with a nicely aged warm sunburst finish, a mahogany neck topped with a rosewood fingerboard, a rosewood bridge. It has the original tuners too.
This guitar in is rough shape – scars and wear all around, but rock solid. It has been checked by our luthier and is ready to go.
It plays very easily with a straight neck and newer frets.
This guitar is one of the most articulate, mature mahogany guitars that We’ve owned – just amazing. Rich and deep … a very powerful guitar. The whole construction and the matured woods create this most haunting voice that can’t be described with any degree of accuracy.
The FON dates this guitar to 1951.
It comes with a newer case.
