Description

Juan Estruch 1972 Flamenco Guitar – Rare flamenco guitar from the master guitar builder Juan Estruch. Fantastic sound and high-quality workmanship are combined in this great guitar.

Juan Estruch is one of the venerable guitar builders in Spain. Well known among musicians are especially the guitars like this one here from the “yellow label” period. They have a deep and rich tone and are appreciated by musicians and collectors alike.

They are also known through Chet Atkins. When he was asked shortly before his death which of his hundreds of guitars he preferred most, he chose without hesitation his 1964 Juan Estruch. In fact, this was the guitar that Atkins played every day and on which he made many of his “basement” recordings that were found after his death.

This Juan Estruch is an absolute beauty with nice decorations that make up the typical vintage character. So this guitar takes us from the feeling to the time of the great masters of flamenco!
This Estruch was built in 1972 and is today an absolute rarity. It has a very fine spruce top and the best Spanish cypress as wood for back and sides. 52 mm nut width and 650 mm scale length – plus a perfect action. The guitar is easy to play.

Sound and playability are outstanding!
It has the typical flamenco sound of an absolute masterbuilt guitar. Dry, clacking and with razor sharp attack! It responds incredibly fast and is super easy to play. Here you get everything you want.
The basses are very distinctive, but nevertheless the guitar is balanced on all levels.

The condition of this Juan Estruch is very good – it has only slight signs of use!
