Paco Santiago Marin 1983 Classical Guitar – A Unique Masterpiece
This exceptional instrument is truly a standout in every regard, and undoubtedly one of the most beautiful creations by Paco Santiago Marin. Custom-made for the late Ulrich Müller, a close friend of Paco and a distinguished professor and guitar maker in Osnabrück, this guitar is a one-of-a-kind treasure.
Its uniqueness is highlighted by the stunning Rosewood used in its construction, featuring a striking pattern that captivates the eye, particularly on the back and sides. The headstock is a remarkable feature, adorned with Paco Santiago’s signature in genuine gold, engraved by a jeweler friend. Only two guitars in the world boast this exquisite detail, with the other residing with a Swiss colleague of Müller’s.
Paco Santiago Marin, the nephew of renowned luthier Antonio Marín Montero, was born into a family of guitar makers in 1945. His exceptional technical expertise and musical sensitivity have led him to create instruments celebrated for their great projection, balance, and tonal richness. Esteemed musicians such as Eliot Fisk, Leo Brouwer, Ricardo Gallén, and Marco Tamayo have all played and recorded with his guitars, further solidifying their reputation in the classical music world.
