Description
Martin D-18 1937 GE 2012 Acoustic Guitar – excellent dreadnought guitar based on Martin’s classic pre-war “Golden Era”.
The history of Martin guitars traces back to German roots in the 1830s, characterized by an unwavering commitment to quality craftsmanship and innovative features like the patented ‘X-Bracing’ system for reinforcing the spruce top. These elements contribute to the exceptional playability of Martin guitars, allowing them to stand the test of time even after decades of use.
One remarkable model is the D-18 Golden Era from the Martin Custom Shop, which produces a full and warm sound thanks to its finely grained premium mahogany body paired with a select Adirondack spruce top. Weighing in at a comfortable 1.99 kg, this Dreadnought guitar delivers a rich, resonant tone and features a classic aesthetic, making it a top-tier instrument that rightfully pays homage to the “Golden Era” in its name.
With a nut width of 43.4 mm and a scale length of 25.4 inches, the D-18’s Dreadnought shape and warm, assertive sound make it well-suited for bluegrass playing and strumming, as well as for classical fingerstyle techniques that truly shine on this guitar.
The condition of this 2012 Martin is overall very good, though it does exhibit some small wear from play and use. Our setup measures have significantly enhanced its playability, and thanks to the adjustable truss rod, future adjustments for different string gauges can be easily made.
The guitar will be delivered in its original Martin case.
