Description

Luis Arostegui Granados 1976 – a beautifully lightweight and responsive guitar with a powerful, expressive voice that truly comes to life in the hands of the player.

Luis Arostegui Granados, born in Granada in 1932, began his journey as a cabinetmaker before discovering his passion for crafting guitars. Under the guidance of the esteemed Manuel de la Chica, and with experience working alongside other respected luthiers in Granada, Arostegui settled in Madrid in 1960. Influenced by the renowned Madrid school of guitar making, he became known for creating guitars with a vibrant and dynamic tonal quality that reflects the heart of traditional Spanish craftsmanship.

This 1976 Luis Arostegui Granados guitar is a stunning example of his craftsmanship. Its exceptionally lightweight construction delivers an incredibly responsive sound that is both powerful and expressive. The bass notes are deep and resonant, providing a solid foundation, while the trebles ring out with brilliant clarity, offering a beautifully balanced tonal spectrum. The guitar’s transparency shines through, ensuring that every note, from the lowest rumbling bass to the sparkling highs, is clear and distinct. This superb clarity is achieved while maintaining the guitar’s remarkable warmth and richness, making it a joy to play for any musician seeking a true Spanish guitar sound.

The string action at the 12th fret has been carefully set for optimal comfort and playability. With a scale length of 660 mm and a nut width of 51 mm, it accommodates a variety of playing styles and ensures ease of use for both beginners and advanced players. Constructed with a fine spruce top and beautiful rosewood back and sides, this guitar offers both aesthetic elegance and impressive acoustic performance.

In good condition, with only minor signs of use, this guitar retains its original charm and integrity. It also comes with its original case, providing both protection and authenticity.

For those in search of a vintage Spanish guitar with extraordinary tonal depth, dynamic playability, and exquisite craftsmanship, this 1976 Luis Arostegui Granados is an exceptional find.
