Description

Very rare and beautiful sounding guitar … Jose Ramirez 1a Flamenca Negra 1990. Flamenco guitars with rosewood back and sides made by Ramirez are very rare – and this guitar sounds and plays like a dream!

The Ramirez family is the most illustrious dynasty in the guitar world. The saga started around 1870 when José Ramirez I finished his education with Francisco González and set up his own workshop. José Ramirez II (1885-1957) continued to built guitars in the way his father did. Ramirez III then was another key person in the world of guitar building. Under his lead guitar history was written in the Ramirez Shop and the modern classical guitar was developed in its today’s form.
Many of the greatest guitarists, in both classical and flamenco, has played Ramírez instruments.

This guitar has a spruce top and rosewood back and sides. The scale lengths is 655 mm and the nut width 52 mm.
The tuning pegs are finetuning pegs by pegheds – they work great and the guitar can be tuned easily.

The sound is a real deal … a true flamenco sound which you can only find on the best Spanish guitars. It has a robust, creamy quality to the sound and has a nice quick, bouncy responsiveness, a characteristic found in the best Spanish instruments.
It has these deep basses and a round and clear tone. A rich sound with the most beautiful timbres.

Theguitars is ingreat conditionwith only some small amount of wear from play and use and some scratches on the lower sides. The guitar has been checked by our luthier and is ready to go.
