José Ramirez 1a 1961 Paulino Bernabe classical guitar – a rarity from the Ramirez Shop. The classical guitars of José Ramirez from the 60’s are world famous. In these years guitar history was written in the Ramirez Shop and the classical guitar was developed in its today’s form.
This wonderful guitar is a 1a model made by Paulino Bernabe who is perhaps the most famous luthier who ever worked in the Ramirez shop. This guitar is as close as you can get to the famous Andres Segovia guitar built in 1968.
It is easily the best Ramirez guitar we had. This guitar has a beautiful spruce top and rosewood back and sides – finest materials were used.
The sound is a true revelation. It has a beautiful and full sound – very beautifully aged and matured. Balanced sound with beautiful and unique timbres. This guitar is something special for the demanding guitarist.
It has a scale length of 664 mm and a nut width of 52 mm.
It is in a wonderful vintage condition – only some playwear and 2 very professional repairs.
