Description

Ignacio Manzano Rozas Classical Guitar – powerful sounding Estudio model (N. 5) guitar from Madrid!

This fine Ignacio Manzano Rozas classical guitar, built in the shop of Ignacio Manzano Rozas, is a testament to his skill and artistry. Rozas, one of the finest guitar makers of the 1960s, earned his reputation in the esteemed workshop of José Ramírez, where he held a leading position. Following in the footsteps of many Ramírez luthiers, he eventually established his own workshop in Madrid.

Rozas’ workshop, located on Calle Mayor, was just a stone’s throw from that of his fellow Ramírez alumnus Manuel Contreras. His guitars beautifully blend the hallmark traits of the Ramírez style with his own innovative design elements and personal touch.

This Ignacio Manzano Rozas classical guitar showcases exceptional craftsmanship. As an estudio guitar it was made by some worker after the design of Ignacio Manzano Rozas. The cedar top is complemented by rosewood back and sides, chosen for their superior tonal properties and aesthetic appeal.

  • Scale Length: 650 mm
  • Nut Width: 52 mm
  • Action: 3.5 mm E and 2.9 mm e at the 12th fret

The tonal qualities of this Ignacio Manzano Rozas classical guitar are nothing short of remarkable. Unlike the heavier build of traditional Ramírez guitars, Rozas opted for a lighter construction, resulting in a faster, more dynamic response. Even the lightest touch elicits a clear and vibrant tone. The sound is rich and robust, with a creamy texture that captures the essence of the finest Spanish instruments. The basses are deep and resonant, while the trebles are round and warm, offering a delightful vintage character. The overall tonal palette is versatile and filled with nuanced timbres, making it a guitar that invites inspiration and admiration.

This Ignacio Manzano Rozas classical guitar is in excellent condition. It exhibits the typical wear consistent with use and age (the guitar was probably made around 2010).

The guitar comes with a high-quality gig bag, providing reliable protection and ease of transport.

This Ignacio Manzano Rozas classical guitar is a great instrument. With its blend of Ramírez tradition and Rozas’ innovation, exquisite craftsmanship, and stunning sound, this guitar is a treasure for both players and collectors. A true masterpiece that offers an unparalleled playing experience and timeless elegance.
