Gibson Les Paul Standard 1989 electric guitar in Goldtop design – a stunning guitar with nice feel and sound!

The Gibson Les Paul Standard is the quintessential classic from Gibson. When it comes in a stunning Goldtop finish, there’s really no need for many words. It’s no surprise that this iconic model has been produced for decades with minimal changes.

The fundamental design features a mahogany body and neck, a beautiful maple top, and a rosewood fingerboard, all of which date back to the 1950s and have proven their worth over time. While the 1970s saw some models with maple necks that had their own charm, the true Les Paul sound undeniably relies on mahogany.

The late 80s and 90s were a golden era for Gibson. The quality of the woods used during this time was exceptional, and the craftsmanship had returned to a high standard after some challenges in the 70s and early 80s. It’s no wonder that Gibsons from this period are highly sought after today. Although they tend to be slightly heavier than modern models, the weight of 3.9 kg only makes itself known at the strap, as this added weight enhances the classic Les Paul tone.

It has only been played occasionally and is in fnatastic condition for its age. It has a Les Paul signature on the pickguard. The original owner confirmed it was there from the beginning. It is handwritten and possibly original from Les Paul (we cant verify that).
