Description

This Gibson Country Western 1956 is a vintage acoustic guitar that captivates musicians and collectors alike with its unique tone and historical significance.

Introduced in the mid-1950s, the Gibson Country Western (also known as Gibson Southern Jumbo Natural or SJN) quickly became one of the brand’s most iconic models. This 1956 guitar stands out with its jumbo body, crafted from solid mahogany with a spruce top, its stunning inlay works and natural finish. With Gibson’s renowned craftsmanship, this model offers a perfect blend of aesthetics and tonal excellence.

The Gibson Country Western 1956 delivers the warm, resonant tone characteristic of vintage acoustic guitars. Its powerful, rich bass and clear, sparkling highs make it a versatile choice for various genres, from folk and country to singer-songwriter performances. The comfortable neck profile and precise fretwork provide an effortless playing experience, ideal for both fingerstyle and strumming techniques. This guitar has received a neck reset and the action is comfortably low (2.1 mm E and 1.6 mm e at the 12th fret). The nut width is 43 mm.

This 1956 model is in remarkably good condition, preserving its authenticity and vintage appeal. All essential original components are still on the guitar and it comes with the original case. Light signs of wear add to its character and showcase its rich history as a cherished instrument. It has a veryy small repair on the back. The tuners seems to be newer ones (tru to the originals).

Whether as a collector’s treasure or an inspiring instrument, the Gibson Country Western 1956 offers musicians and vintage guitar enthusiasts a rare opportunity to own a piece of music history with exceptional sound and timeless craftsmanship.
