The legacy of Casa Gonzalez traces back to the esteemed Francisco Gonzalez, a contemporary of Antonio de Torres. Known for his unique style, Gonzalez was a celebrated luthier, winning numerous awards and teaching renowned figures like Jose Ramirez I and Manuel Ramirez. Following his passing, his son-in-law Enrique Romans Papell continued the tradition, renaming the shop to Casa Gonzalez in 1901 and crafting guitars until the 1940s.
