An amazing guitar from the hand of an excellent craftsman!
Anselmo Solar Gonzalez was born in 1918 in Valle de Nalon. As luthier he was already winning prizes at expositions for his guitars in 1938. Short time after he moved to Madrid and went to work with the great Santos Hernandez. There he could further improve his skills. After the death of Santos Hernandez he continued to build guitars for Hernandez’s widow together with Marcelo Barbero until 1948.
After that he opened his own workshop and stayed in Madrid until his death building high end handmade guitars during many years.
This guitar is one of his great masterpieces, made in 1988. Only the best meterials where used for this guitar.
The craftsmanship emploied for this guitar is outstanding and we can directly feel the great experience of that great luthier.
It has a German spruce top and beautiful Brazilian rosewood back and sides. The scale length is 660 mm and the nut width 52 mm.
The sound of this guitar is bold and loud. It has a very clear and detailed sound.
Its enormously powerful tone has a great dynamic and impresses with a long lasting sustain. The sound quality can be described as mystical with an almost magical attraction. The guitar fills the entire room with the most beautiful tones and impresses with a breathtaking variety of timbres. An absolutely noble instrument on concert level – very finely built for highest tonal demands.
The condition is good. It has a few signs of play and wear, but is overall in a great condition without any cracks or repairs.
It comes with its original guitar case.
