Amalio Burguet ABF 1999 Flamenco Guitar – Handmade Excellence with Authentic Flamenco Sound

The Amalio Burguet ABF 1999 is a high-end flamenco guitar that embodies the dedication and craftsmanship for which Amalio Burguet is renowned. Entirely handmade, this instrument reflects decades of expertise, with an emphasis on quality, tone, and playability.
From an early age, Amalio Burguet displayed an extraordinary talent for guitar making, combining his deep musical understanding with an uncompromising commitment to craftsmanship. He carefully selects only the finest tonewoods, ensuring each guitar is built with optimal drying time, precision assembly, and meticulous attention to detail. The result is an instrument that offers exceptional sound, durability, and playability.

The ABF 1999 features a solid spruce (Picea abies) top, a wood known for its clarity, resonance, and fast response—essential qualities for a flamenco guitar. The solid cypress (Cupressus sempervirens) back and sides contribute to its crisp, percussive attack, making it a true flamenco instrument with the signature bright and powerful sound.
The African ebony (Diospyros crassiflora Hiern) fretboard ensures smooth and precise playability, while the cedar (Thuja plicata) neck offers stability and comfort. The natural bone nut enhances sustain and resonance, and the entire instrument is finished with nitrocellulose lacquer, allowing the wood to vibrate freely for maximum tonal richness.

With a 650 mm scale length and a 52 mm nut width, this guitar provides a comfortable playing experience, perfect for both traditional and modern flamenco techniques. The slim-profile neck and low action (2.6 mm E and 2.1 mm e at the 12th fret) make fast picado runs, rasgueados, and intricate passages effortless, while still offering excellent dynamic range and projection.

This 1999 ABF model is in good condition for its age, showing only minor signs of use. It has been well-maintained and carefully set up for optimal performance. The guitar’s exceptional craftsmanship ensures reliability and longevity, making it a perfect choice for serious flamenco players.

The Amalio Burguet ABF 1999 is an outstanding flamenco guitar that balances tradition, craftsmanship, and affordability. With its handmade construction, premium materials, and authentic flamenco tone, it is an excellent choice for musicians seeking a professional-grade instrument with exceptional sound and playability.

Includes a high-quality hard case for protection.
