This classical guitar has been made by the luthier José Rodriguez. He is a guitar builder from Andujar near Cordoba. Building guitars since 1972. He has had a shop and workshop in Cordoba for the past few years. He received a lot of advice from the famous Miguel Rodriguez. He brought his first guitar to him and asked him to explain what he could improve. He builds very beautiful instruments with a good finish. The bass tones in his instruments are accented slightly and have a dry treble. I like his instruments a lot; they have a somewhat archaic sound that you seldom hear these days.
The different woods in this classical guitar are of the top existing quality. The top is made of German spruce, with an outlined grain, straight and smooth, that endorse its exceptional quality. The back and sides are made of walnut, very homogeneous, with a lovely chocolate black tone. The finishing is elegant and sober.
The sound of this guitar is unique. The basses are unbelievably strong and deep, the trebles are sweet and clear, with an unmatchable sustain and projection. The harmonics it releases are truly magic. It is definitely a perfect sound, which makes us understand the respect and admiration that this luthier gets from the guitar world.
The tension of this classical guitar is medium, and the height of the strings in the saddle and fingerboard, really balanced, which provides us with a high degree of comfort for both hands.
The condition of this guitar is good and completely original – it has some play wear, but nothing serious!
