The Salvador Ibanez 1900 Classical Guitar is a beautifully preserved piece of guitar-making history, built around 1900 in the style of Antonio de Torres. With its elegant craftsmanship, refined proportions, and remarkable sound, this instrument stands as a testament to one of the most important luthiers in Spanish guitar tradition.

A Guitar by One of Spain’s Most Influential Makers

Salvador Ibáñez (1854–1920) was one of the finest luthiers of his era, renowned for building instruments of outstanding quality and precision. His workshop in Valencia produced bandurrias, lutes, six- and nine-string guitars, and even innovative designs such as the world’s first double-necked guitar in 1897.

Ibáñez guitars were admired during his lifetime and remain highly prized today. His instruments have been played and collected by some of the greatest musicians, including Julian Bream and Eric Clapton—the latter once selling a Salvador Ibáñez guitar at auction for US$42,000.
