Description

This guitar was built by Ricardo Sanchis Nacher (1881-1960) and is historically very interesting as it is similar to the last guitar Agustin Barrios bought from Ricardo Sanchis Nacher.
We have compared this guitar with the guitars from Domingo Esteso, Manuel Ramirez … it is absolutely fascinating how it is equal in sound with these.

Ricardo Sanchis Nacher is the founder of Sanchis guitars and the grandfather of Ricardo Sanchis Carpio.
The shop of Ricardo Sanchis in Valencia was founded by Ricardo Sanchis Nacher in 1915. He has worked for guitar makers in Valencia for sometime, went to Madrid where he was befriended by Manuel Ramirez and Domingo Esteso. To perfect his craft, he remained in Madrid working for Domingo Esteso (the founder of todays Hermanos Conde guitars) for three years.
As a result, the Sanchis family has had close relationships with Esteso, and with his heirs, the Hermanos Conde, ever since.

The guitar was built between 1940 and 1950. It has a spruce top and the back and sides are made of the finest maple wood. The scale length is 645 mm and the nut width 51 mm.

It is a pleasantly light guitar, finely built with a nicely coloured rosette, a straigt forward design and a smooth and fluid headstock shape.
This guitar has a wonderful vintage sound, the playability is incredibly comfortable and the guitar responds to the finest touch.
It has a lyrical, singing quality to the sound and the bases are thick and well present. It can be very loud with a piercing volume and still it retains a charming tone.
It is a truly graceful instrument with a fascinating sound.
If someone is trying to find a lightweight flamenco guitar with this typical old world and deep flamenco sound at a reasonable price … this is the guitar to go for!

The guitar is comfortable for both hands adjusted with a low action. It has a straight neck and good frets.
It is in restored condition with some repaired cracks.
