Eladio Fernandez is the brother and student of the renowned Gerundino Fernandez, one of the most respected names in flamenco guitar making. While Gerundino was establishing his reputation as a master luthier, Eladio was traveling the world as a professional flamenco guitarist, performing on prestigious stages and perfecting his understanding of the instrument from a player’s perspective. This deep connection to the music later influenced his approach to guitar making when he began building guitars alongside his brother.
The workshop of the Fernandez brothers remains in AlmerÃa to this day—a city rich in guitar-making tradition and widely recognized as the birthplace of the modern guitar, thanks to the legendary Antonio Torres. Their instruments carry the unmistakable essence of this heritage, blending time-honored craftsmanship with the demands of professional musicians.
