Paulino Bernabe M-30 from 2002 - concert guitar for the highest demands, with exceptional sound quality!

Paulino Bernabe is considered one of the top names among classical guitar makers. His guitars are played by many artists and are admired for their powerful, clear and sustainable sound.

When Paulino Bernabe (1932-2007) studied guitar with Daniel Fortea, a pupil of Francisco Tárrega, he became interested in guitar making. In 1954, the young Paulino Bernabe became an apprentice guitar maker and eventually head of Jose Ramirez's famous workshop. In 1969, Bernabe left Ramirez to open his own workshop in Madrid.

Although Paulino Bernabe was deeply rooted in the old Madrid school of guitar making, he was a great innovator and experimenter. He developed his own bracing system and construction methods that gave his guitars a unique sound with strong basses, clear trebles and a wide range of timbres. His search for these sound characteristics began in the early 1970s with a then radical bracing system with 5 braces (later he increased this number to 7). More recently, he began to introduce a relatively complex, multi-strut layout with four bracing sections projecting outwards from the sound hole, three fan bracing sections of varying heights and thicknesses and an innovative back design. All these innovations resulted in his instruments having a sweeter, yet clear and focused tone.

This guitar is a true work of art. It has a very beautiful cedar top and an outstanding rosewood back and sides. The workmanship is of the highest standard.
It has a scale length of 650 mm and a nut width of 52 mm.

It really is a great sounding and singing classical guitar in every way. It is lightly fretted and produces a big, hearty and full sound while still remaining very balanced and clear. The guitar plays incredibly well and the sound is very mature with a warm nuance. Definitely an instrument with a lot of character and a sound to fall in love with.

Although it is a used guitar, it has no cracks or repairs - only slight traces of use in the varnish.

The guitar comes with the original case.
