Maximiano Fontiveros - a very beautiful and handmade flamenco guitar - rare and sought-after!

Maximiano Fontiveros is considered one of the best restorers in the world. In his long career, he has carried out more than four hundred restorations on instruments of great historical value. His extensive knowledge of instrument restoration eventually led him to build guitars himself. His guitars are handmade with great attention to detail. Production is therefore strictly limited and there are only a few hundred of his guitars in existence.

There is a large circle of fans and professionals who greatly appreciate the work of Maximiano Fontiveros and therefore this offer is certainly a great specialty and an exceptional opportunity.
Professional guitarists who have played - and continue to play - Maximiano Fontiveros guitars are: Rafael Riqueni, Raimundo Amador, Jose Luis Postigo, Camarón de la Isla ... and many others.

This outstanding guitar from 1983 is built with fine spruce wood for the top and high-quality cypress wood for the back and sides. The scale length is 656 mm and the nut width is 52 mm.

The sound is fat and balanced with plenty of punch, volume and flamenco character. The powerful, vocal-like highs are balanced by a deep, full but not boomy bass foundation. As sweet as the tone is, it still has an aggressive response when pushed in the right direction - rasguedos in particular are quite explosive and powerful.
In other words - a very powerful and lively Andalusian flamenco guitar in every respect.

Playability is a breeze - it has a light and slim neck with a low string action and just the right amount of „sizzle“ that contributes to the authentic southern Spanish flamenco sound.
This is a top concert instrument for any professional flamenco setting - whether on stage or in the studio.

The guitar is a one-owner instrument. It is in a clean and original condition. It has a built-in piezo pickup, brand unknown. It comes with the original guitar case.
