Martin D-35 1971 - Oh man ... what an incredible sounding guitar! If you're looking for a big and full sounding Martin, then this D-35 is for you!

If you're looking for a vintage Martin with huge tone and deep resonance, then this 1971 Martin D-35 is the perfect choice. It combines everything we love about well-seasoned acoustic guitars: a beautifully aged spruce top with a honey-colored patina, a worn-in feel with just the right amount of playability and an unbeatable vintage sound that can only come from decades of playing.

Alongside the Martin D-28, the D-35 is one of the most famous dreadnoughts of all time - a true icon in the world of acoustic guitars. Countless legendary musicians - Johnny Cash, Jim Croce, Neil Young, Bob Dylan - have played Martin dreadnoughts and shaped the sound of entire generations.

The D-35 is the ultimate example of a 14-fret dreadnought and has served as a model for many modern dreadnought models. This 1971 Martin D-35 comes from the golden era of Martin and is an outstanding example. It has been played and loved a lot, so its sound is perfectly mature and balanced - with deep, prominent basses, brilliant, shimmering highs and a warm, rich midrange that only old Martins possess.

With its classic vintage feel, this guitar is an absolute joy to play.

Condition & playability:

  • Excellent vintage condition, with only slight signs of use and a professionally repaired small pickguard crack.
  • Low string action and a straight neck ensure effortless playability.
  • Nut width: 43 mm - ideal for both strumming and fingerpicking.
  • Sufficient bridge inlay left to make future adjustments.

This guitar comes with the original case to preserve its authenticity and vintage charm.

A truly outstanding Martin D-35 that offers everything a great vintage dreadnought should have - rich tone, timeless elegance and the unmistakable magic of aged wood.
