A very nice postwar Martin 0-17 that plays perfectly and sounds incredibly good.
C. F. Martin 0-17 Model Flat Top Acoustic Guitar (1947), made in Nazareth (Pennsylvania) - mahogany body and neck, rosewood fingerboard and bridge.
This is an excellent sounding and very playable early postwar Martin 0-17 with a very powerful tone for an all-mahogany guitar with a small body.
This 0-17 was built in 1947, when the 14 fret version of the model had already proved to be a very popular design.
Although the 0-17 has a simple exterior and is at the lower end of the Martin guitar line, it is nevertheless built to the highest standards from very high-quality materials.
Then as now, the 0-17 is a professional-quality instrument that responds extremely well and has a rich, singing tone.
This guitar shows some signs of use and also has minor older repairs. It has had a neck reset and plays very well all the way down the neck.
Above all, it has an excellent sound. We love these Martins with a small mahogany body.
