Marcelo Barbero (Hijo) 1962 - the fascinating and full sound of this guitar will definitely impress you. It has a dark and mystical touch.

The label reads „Marcelo Barbero (Hijo) para casa de Arcangel Fernandez“.
Marcelo Barbero was one of the greatest guitar makers the world has ever seen. Unfortunately, he died young and was only able to train Arcangel Fernandez and his son.
Marcelo Barbero Hijo and Arcangel Fernandez built guitars together for many years in the same workshop under the label „casa Arcangel Fernandez“.
These two luthiers are undoubtedly among the greatest guitar makers in Spain.

This guitar has a wonderful, dark sound with powerful basses and strong trebles. It is incredibly loud and immediately fills any room with sweet tones.
It sounds like an old Miguel Rodriguez with a spruce top (at a much lower price) from the same period. It has the raw, open, vibrant sound of a great mid-century flamenco guitar, while retaining the warmth and lyrical beauty of a great classical guitar.

The condition of this Marcelo Barbero (Hijo) 1962 is excellent with only a small repair to the frame and the golpeador replaced.

The guitar has a scale length of 665 mm and a nut width of 52 mm. It has a spruce top and cypress back and sides. It is very well set up, with a low string action and a straight neck.

This Marcelo Barbero (Hijo) 1962 is a great guitar, built in one of the most famous workshops in the history of Spanish guitar making.
