Manuel Romero Macias is a guitar maker from Seville. The workshop is located in Montellana (near Seville).
His guitars fall into a special category. They are genuine handmade instruments, built by an old-school luthier using the best materials. They have a wonderful sound and are very reasonably priced.
This guitar has a spruce top and a cypress body - a beautiful combination that produces an exceptional flamenco sound. The scale length is 650 mm and the nut width is 52 mm.
The sound of this particular instrument is sweet, beautiful and lyrical, but retains the bite and energy of a real flamenco guitar: When played melodically, it sings like a singer's voice, but also awakens with a tremendous bite when struck hard. The powerful, tuneful highs are balanced by the big basses, which are full but not booming. As sweet as the tone is, it still has the aggressive response when you move it in the right direction - the rasguedos in particular are decidedly explosive and powerful.
The setup is very comfortable and the guitar plays with great ease. It is in good condition with moderate signs of use and comes with a guitar case.
