Manuel Romero Macias is a guitar maker from Seville. The workshop is located in Montellana (near Seville).
His guitars fall into a special category. They are genuine handmade instruments, built by an old-school luthier using the best materials. They have a wonderful sound and are very affordable.

This guitar has a spruce top and a cypress body - a beautiful combination that produces an exceptional flamenco sound. The scale length is 650 mm and the nut width is 52 mm.

The tone of this particular instrument is sweet, beautiful and lyrical, while retaining the bite and energy of flamenco: When played melodically, it sings like a human voice, but it also awakens with a tremendous bite when struck hard. The strong, voice-like highs are balanced by the big basses, which are full but not booming. As sweet as the tone is, it still has an aggressive attack when pushed in the right direction - rasguedos in particular are quite explosive and powerful.

The setup is very comfortable and the guitar plays with great ease. It is in good condition for its age - only the center joint below the bridge has been reglued.
