Manuel Bellido „double top“ classical guitar - truly a special guitar, with an enormous sound quality. An incomparable guitar, built by one of the best luthiers in Granada!
This guitar comes from its first owner, who bought it from Guitar Salon International. It is constructed in a special way, similar to the famous Contreras Doble Tapa guitars.
Bellido is one of Granada's most famous guitar makers. He learned the art of guitar making with Antonio Marin Montero and his brother Jose Lopez Bellido under Eduardo Ferrer in the early 1960s.
After completing his training, he quickly set up his own business and has been based in Granada with his workshop ever since.
His guitars have seen the stages of the world in the hands of great guitarists, both in classical music and flamenco.
Juan Carmona and Tomatito play his guitars. Bellido is best known for his classical guitars, which he builds with a particular focus on sound quality.
His guitars are traditionally built and inspired by Antonio de Torres.
This classic Manuel Bellido guitar is truly unique. It has a doble tapa design. Similar to the guitars by Manuel Contreras, it has a double back made of rosewood on the outside and cedar on the inside (the two pieces of wood are glued together).
It is a coveted design because it produces a loud and sustaining tone with tremendous sound quality. Several players have played this type of guitar since the 1980s, including the Romeros.
The materials of this guitar are really something special. The old woods and the varnish are fused together and emphasize the beauty of the fine spruce top and the perfectly cut rosewood.
The sound of this wonderful guitar is wonderfully versatile, with a complex sound and an enormous range of the most beautiful timbres. The sound is powerful and majestic on the one hand, but the guitar also impresses with clear, sparkling trebles that convey a feeling of great projection. It is a very well-balanced guitar and has an impressively open sound.
Definitely a guitar for the concert hall and professional use!
This guitar is in wonderful and original condition and perfectly set up.
The scale length is 648 mm and the nut width is 52 mm. It comes with its hard case.
