Ludwig Reisinger Viennese model ~1925 - fantastic and loud sounding handmade guitar
Reisinger was one of the most famous Viennese guitar makers of the late 19th and early 20th century. He was born in 1863 and began studying with Ignaz Johann Bucher, who was a pupil of Johann Georg Stauffer, in 1877. He worked for Bucher until 1887 and later opened his own store in Vienna.
Reisinger had a particularly good reputation and was soon regarded as the best Viennese guitar maker of his time. Reissinger died in 1938.
Like Hermann Hauser I, Ludwig Reisinger also built the Viennese models to perfection. This guitar is a fine example. The guitar has a spruce top, maple back and sides and an ebony fingerboard. The scale length is 640 mm and the nut width is 50 mm. The guitar has been restored and some cracks have been professionally repaired. It is also equipped with an adjustable neck (Stauffer style).
The sound is loud, powerful and highly dynamic - it has a large and deep body, which gives it a sublime, almost majestic sound.
The sound is beautiful, masterful with concert quality. It has a lot of clarity, but at the same time an incredible tonal flexibility. It offers the magic that only an old, masterfully built guitar can create.
The guitar offers a wide range of beautiful timbres in all registers.
