This wonderful guitar was built in 2002 by Juan Miguel Gonzalez, who is widely recognized as one of the greatest guitar makers alive today. Juan Miguel Gonzalez was born in Almeria in 1947 and was taught by his father Miguel Gonzalez Abad (1906-1989), who in turn had been apprenticed to the Moya brothers (who were close friends of Antonio Torres and had learned from him). For this reason, Juan Miguel Gonzalez is considered the last heir to Antonio de Torres.
Juan Miguel's guitars have a special duende that professional players seek and love. To name just a few of his customers: Tomatito, Norberto Torres, Monolo Franco, Carlos Piñana, and El Niño de la Manola. As is typical of Juan Miguel Gonzalez's guitars, this instrument is also made from first-class woods. The top is made from the best cedar wood, while the back and sides are made from high-quality old Madagascar rosewood.
The 660 mm scale length and the 52 mm nut are characteristic of this guitar. The set-up is great: low, fast, without buzzing.
The guitar has a great sound: it is responsive in all registers. It explodes with power and has this big and round sound.
The guitar is in very good condition with few traces of use. It comes with a guitar case.
