Juan Antonio Sabate flamenco guitar - extremely good guitar from Barcelona, with lots of power and a great sound!

Juan Antonio Sabate is a guitar maker from Barcelona. In his early years, he worked in the workshop of Juan Estruch. There he was trained as a master guitar maker. After working for Estruch for several years, he finally opened his own store in Barcelona. He was a teacher to several guitar makers in Barcelona, including Antonio Manjon.

Juan Antonio Sabate works very precisely and only uses high-quality wood. His guitars are popular with professional guitarists and amateurs and he is a well-known guitar maker in the Barcelona region.

When we discovered this fine guitar by Juan Antonio Sabate, we were immediately impressed and wondered why we hadn't heard of this guitar maker before. His production is limited to a few guitars per year and these are handmade using traditional methods. As he does not advertise and sells his guitars mainly to musicians in Barcelona, his guitars are hard to find.

This fine flamenco guitar was built in the 90s. The exact date is unfortunately not noted. It has a cedar top and cypress back and sides. The nut width is 52 mm and the scale length is 650 mm. The neck is straight and the guitar plays easily with a fantastic string action of 2.8 mm E and 2.4 mm e at the 12th fret.

This fine flamenco guitar has a rich, deep and balanced sound. The sound of this guitar is wonderfully versatile, with a complex tone and an enormous range of the most beautiful timbres. The sound is powerful and majestic on the one hand, but the guitar also impresses with clear, sparkling trebles that convey a feeling of great projection. It is a very well-balanced guitar and has an impressively open sound.

This Juan Antonio Sabate flamenco guitar comes with a matching case.
