Jose Romero 2017 Especial - exceptional flamenco guitar - with amazingly good sound quality!
There are only 2 of these guitars in the world. The concept was coordinated by Jose Romero with the world-famous guitarist Ramon Jimenez. This guitar has very pronounced and warm basses in the bass range with the cedar/rosewood construction, while the trebles gain clarity and spontaneity through the spruce/cypress construction.
Ramon Jimenez has already recorded an album with his Especial and performs regularly with it. This guitar is identical to Ramon Jimenez's and was ordered from Jose Romero by a Ramon Jimenez fan.
The Spanish guitar maker Jose Romero Garrido was born in Baeza (Jaén) on April 12, 1954. In 1968, when he was only fourteen years old, he began his professional career as a guitar maker by joining José Ramirez's workshop as an apprentice. There he developed outstanding skills, becoming a master craftsman and one of the leading builders in the Ramirez workshop.
In 1983, Jose Romero the Ramirez left the workshop to build his own instruments and opened his own workshop.
Jose Romero works alone and builds fine handmade classical and flamenco guitars using traditional techniques. His production is therefore limited.
In addition to the sound characteristics already described, this beautiful flamenco has an outstandingly noble sound. The balance between treble and bass is excellent. It is a very flexible guitar - loud and growling when played hard, but it also sings with the sweetest melodies when plucked gently.

This guitar is well set up and plays very nicely. It has a scale length of 660 mm and a nut width of 52 mm.
The guitar is in very good condition and comes with the original guitar case.
