Jose Ramirez I 1909 Guitarra de Tablao Flamenco Guitar - this fine guitar is an impressive piece of guitar history.

A beautiful cypress guitar from the workshop of Jose Ramirez I. It was built at a time when Jose Ramirez I had already been working as an independent guitar maker for 27 years (his workshop was founded in 1882).
Jose Ramirez I was the outstanding guitar maker of the time and is considered the forefather of guitar making in Madrid. In fact, the guitarists of the time were looking for solutions to the poor sound of the guitars built at the time. They turned to Jose Ramirez, who then created the so-called tablao guitar. The internal structure of this guitar corresponded entirely to the style and pattern of the Torres guitars.

The sound of this Jose Ramirez I 1909 Guitarra de Tablao Flamenco guitar is absolutely charming and elegant. It has all the qualities of a high-quality handmade guitar of the early 20th century in the style of Torres, with the sound reflected from the top, back and sides. It has a loose, dry and penetrating sound with big basses and juicy, fat trebles. The higher registers are incredibly sweet and sensual. This guitar sings beautifully - it can accompany virtually any style of music with charm and elegance.
It's a lively guitar and a lot of fun to play ... hard to put down.

The Jose Ramirez I 1909 Guitarra de Tablao Flamenco guitar is in a well-restored condition. It has many repaired cracks, but everything is stable and the guitar is ready for use.
It plays easily, with a low string action and a straight neck.
The nut width is 51 mm and the scale length is 650 mm.

The Jose Ramirez I 1909 Guitarra de Tablao Flamenco guitar comes with a newer case.
