Jose Marin Plazuelo Bouchet model - a very impressive classical guitar!

Jose Marin Plazuelo was born in Granada in 1960. He is the nephew and pupil of Antonio Marin Montero. He began an apprenticeship with his uncle in 1974 and shortly afterwards started building guitars under his own name. He soon became famous and is now considered one of Spain's top builders.

His guitars have outstanding tonal qualities, are expertly crafted with great attention to detail and are simply fun to play. They are in the tradition of Santos Hernandez and Marcello Barbero.

This is a „bouchet“ model, almost identical to the guitars of his famous uncle Antonio Marin Montero, equipped with the lighter 5-fan bracing and the „under bridge“ bracing. This increases the flexibility of the top while maintaining structural stability, and when done correctly (as with this Marin/Plazuelo system), greatly increases the dynamic range and tone modulation of the instrument.
It is considered by many to be one of the great innovations of the 20th century, first used by French luthier Robert Bouchet, who was a friend and colleague of Antonio Marin.

The playability is a dream, and the materials are superb, including this stunning rosewood used for the back and sides, and a fine top of Alpine spruce.

The sound of this guitar is fat and round, with explosive power. The dynamic range and tone that the guitar produces are not easily surpassed. Besides its powerful nature, it has a lot of sweet tones to offer and the tone colors and tonal spectrum seem endless.
This wonderful instrument is truly a concert-level guitar and it is also impressively easy to play.

The condition is excellent with only minor traces of play in the varnish - no repairs or damage. Scale length 645 mm and nut width 52 mm. The original guitar case is included.

Plazuelo is one of the best Spanish luthiers and this guitar represents excellent value for the price.
