Jose Lopez Bellido 2017 flamenco guitar - an exceptional guitar with a great and powerful sound!
Bellido is one of Granada's most famous guitar makers. He learned the art of guitar making with Antonio Marin and his brother Manuel Bellido under Eduardo Ferrer in the early 1960s. After completing his training, he quickly set up his own business and has been based in his workshop in the famous Cuesta Gomerez in Granada ever since.
His guitars have seen the stages of the world in the hands of great guitarists, both in classical music and flamenco.
The instrument was built from the best woods. The back and sides are made of cypress and the top of alpine spruce. The name Bellido guarantees the finest workmanship. The scale length is 655 mm and the nut width is 53 mm.
The sound is powerful and has great dynamics with a fresh and crisp tone.
This is undoubtedly a fine classical guitar with a very strong fundamental and very controlled overtones. It has a very natural, “woody" sound quality, very stylish, classy and seductive. It feels very expressive in the hands and responds to the most subtle changes in the player's touch. The sound is absolutely magical, from the lowest to the highest registers.
It is in good condition, but was played a lot by a professional flamenco player. Bellido recently overhauled the guitar - it was given new frets and a small repair to the top with a touch-up of the varnish.
The guitar comes with the original case.
