Jose Alberto Pantoja Martin 1968 - a real cannon of a great vintage flamenco guitar!

Jose Alberto Pantoja Martin (1931-2013) was born in Marón de la Frontera - arguably the heartland of traditional flamenco. He learned the art of guitar making in the workshop of Manuel Ortega Sousa, but considers himself largely self-taught. He began making guitars in 1962 and opened his own workshop in Seville in 1967, where he made guitars until his death in 2013. His flamenco guitars are very much alive and have been bought by such great guitarists as Paco de Lucia, Sabicas and others.

This guitar has an amazing old world flamenco sound. It has a very voluminous sound and offers tremendous warmth alongside the loud tone. The basses are absolutely fantastic and have that unbeatable vintage character. The trebles are clear and differentiated. The guitar unfolds the most beautiful timbres in every single note and inspires in all areas. Truly a very beautiful instrument ... you will definitely love it.

It plays very easily, with a low string action, a straight neck and a good setup.
The top is made of spruce and the back and sides of cypress. The scale length is 660 mm and the nut width is 52 mm.

If the guitar could talk, it would certainly be able to tell of many evenings in the various tablaos and stages in different places in Spain.
It was in poor condition and has some repairs that have been carried out over the years. We have checked everything and the guitar is ready for use again.

This Jose Alberto Pantoja Martin 1968 comes with the original and worn guitar case.
