Spectacular sounding Guild F-30 1966 „Aragon“ - built in Martin 000-18 style, it has a very impressive vintage sound!
Alongside Martin and Gibson, Guild is one of the major US guitar manufacturers. The company was founded in 1952 by Alfred Dronge and George Mann. By 1956, Guild was so successful that it had to move to larger premises in Hoboken, New Jersey. This is where some of today's highly sought-after Guild guitars were built.
In the 1950s and 1960s, Guild supplied many famous musicians and became increasingly popular.
From this golden era of Guild comes this magnificent F-30, the „old“ F-30 mold, which clearly stands out as a competitor to the venerable Martin 000-18.
It sounds resonant and powerful, with a full and deep tone. It has all the vintage warmth you could wish for and is a truly charming instrument. It has a comfortable string action (the neck has been reset) and a very playable neck. The nut width is 43 mm.
This Guild F-30 1966 „Aragon“ is in very good condition for its age. A crack on the pickguard has been repaired.
It is supplied with the original case.
