Gibson Southern Jumbo (SJ) 1943 „Banner“ - this guitar has a great sunburst finish and sounds insanely good!
During the Second World War, Gibson produced guitars of a very high standard. Handcrafted with the best materials and in small quantities - these guitars are highly sought after by connoisseurs and collectors, and rightly so.
The Gibson SJ has a spruce top with mahogany back, sides and neck.
The finish of this model is a dark sunburst, which was the most famous Gibson finish at the time. It has the inlays and decorations typical of the model.
This Gibson SJ 1943 is in good condition and sounds great - it has a very full sound and is brilliant, lively and responsive.
The guitar is light and produces the most beautiful tones imaginable. The woods vibrate incredibly and give this beautiful guitar a very charming woody sound.
It is a player but in original vintage condition. A few older repairs (very stable) and 2 patches ... paintwork and all essential components are original.
It has been given a neck reset and the string action is pleasantly low. It plays incredibly well and is a lot of fun!
The Gibson comes with the original guitar case.
