The Gibson Les Paul Standard is the quintessential classic from Gibson. When it comes in a stunning goldtop finish, it really doesn't need many words. It's no surprise that this iconic model has been in production for decades with minimal changes.

The basic design consists of a mahogany body and neck, a beautiful maple body (top) and a rosewood fingerboard, which dates back to the 1950s and has stood the test of time. While there were some models with maple necks in the 1970s, which have their own charm, the true Les Paul sound undeniably relies on mahogany.

The late 80s and 90s were a golden era for Gibson. The quality of the woods used during this period was exceptional and the craftsmanship had returned to a high standard after some challenges in the 70s and early 80s. No wonder Gibsons from this period are highly sought after today. Although they tend to be slightly heavier than modern models, the weight of 3.9 kg is only noticeable on the strap, as this extra weight enhances the classic Les Paul tone.

This Gibson Les Paul Standard 1989 electric guitar was purchased from a music store (see sticker on the back of the neck) and is a one-owner instrument. It has only been played occasionally and is in excellent condition for its age. The guitar has a Les Paul signature on the pickguard. The original owner confirmed that it was there from the beginning. It is handwritten and possibly original to Les Paul (we cannot verify this).

Included is the original rectangular Gibson case, which is also in good condition and ensures that your beloved guitar is well protected.
