Gibson L-4 1932 acoustic guitar - rare archtop guitar with a cool vintage sound!
This is a stunningly clean example from the last years of production before the transition from round soundholes to f-holes! This Gibson L-4 1932 is a curious example of a time of change. It has features of what would become the standard for flattop acoustic guitars as we know them today (neck joint at the 14th fret, round soundhole), as well as more traditional features of an archtop guitar, such as the carved solid spruce top and the floating fingerboard extension above the body.
This Gibson L-4 1932 acoustic guitar is 100 % original, with the exception of the pickguard, which is historically correct. It has a small crack on the top which has been repaired. Other than that, there are only a few minor scratches in the finish as seen in the pictures - excellent condition for an instrument that is almost 100 years old.
It also sounds incredibly good - loud and articulate!
This Gibson L-4 1932 acoustic guitar comes with the original case.
