Gerundino Fernandez 1988 Flamenco Guitar - A true masterpiece with authentic Andalusian flamenco sound

This exceptional Gerundino Fernandez flamenco guitar from 1988 is a real gem - a masterpiece that embodies the legendary flamenco sound for which Gerundino is famous.

Gerundino Fernandez (1931-2006) is considered one of the greatest flamenco guitar makers of the late 20th century, along with masters such as Arcángel Fernández, Francisco Barba and Manuel Reyes. His instruments were appreciated by many world-famous guitarists, including Paco Peña, Paco del Gastor, Tomatito, Juan Martín and even Eric Clapton.

This Spruce Blanca combines all the characteristics of a real flamenco guitar. It impresses with an incredibly fast response and a powerful, traditional flamenco voice. The sound is clear, focused and has a slightly dark coloration - deeply rooted in the Andalusian flamenco tradition. No wonder, since Gerundino lived and worked in Almería, the home town of Antonio de Torres and the cradle of the modern Spanish guitar.

Due to its extremely light construction, this guitar offers an explosive response, a dry, woody sound and the unmistakable, raw timbre that makes a great flamenco guitar. Its sound is reminiscent of Paco Peña's famous Blanca from the same era - rich, lively and full of expression.

With cypress sides and back and a fine spruce top, the instrument has a scale length of 660 mm and a nut width of 53 mm, which ensures excellent playability and comfort. The guitar is in exceptionally beautiful and original condition.

An outstanding guitar from the golden era of Gerundino Fernandez - a valuable treasure for serious flamenco players and collectors alike.
