Gerold Karl Hannabach 1973 - fine handmade classical guitar - an excellent sounding instrument!

Gerold Karl Hannabach was born in Schönbach (today: Luby, Czech Republic) in 1928 and grew up in a family of string makers. At the age of 17, he had to leave his parental home and followed other Schönbachers to Bubenreuth, where he began an apprenticeship as a plucked instrument maker with Arnold Hoyer. He completed this in 1953 and set up his own workshop. In 1966, he passed his master craftsman's examination in guitar making and has since worked as a lecturer in musical instrument making at various institutions. He has received numerous awards for his work, including the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany. Gerold Karl Hannabach is one of the best-known German guitar makers.

This is a beautiful concert guitar model from 1973, number 208. It is in good condition, but shows some signs of use and wear.
The guitar is impeccably built. The construction is based on Torres with typical traditional German elements. It has the traditional Hannabach look. The scale length is 650 mm and the nut width is 52 mm. The top is made of fine spruce, the back and sides of maple. It is supplied with the original case.

Words are not enough to describe the rich and harmonious sound of this excellently built guitar. Whether the beauty of individual notes, melodic sequences or the blending of tones in counterpoint or chord harmony - this fine guitar inspires in all respects. Added to this is the unique experience of feeling the resonance of the guitar on your own body while playing, which is made possible by the very light construction of the guitar.
This is one of the best Torres style guitars we have had in our store. We can recommend this guitar without reservation.

Overall, this Gerold Karl Hannabach 1973 is a very beautiful guitar that is part of the rich tradition of German guitar making.
