Francisco Barba is considered one of the best guitar builders of all time. His guitars have been (and still are) praised and played by some of the best guitarists in the world: Niño de Pura, Manuel Molina, Rafael Riqueni, Pepe Habichuela... and so many others.
In the same generation as Manuel Reyes and Gerundino Fernandez, Francisco Barba is considered one of the top guitar makers of flamenco guitars in Spain. He is also the best known and most renowned guitar maker not only in Seville, but also in the entire Andalusian region. His guitars are played by many professionals and amateurs.
The woods of this flamenco guitar are of the best quality. The top is made of fine cedar wood, with a fine grain, straight and even with an exceptional quality. The back and sides are made of Riopa rosewood, with a beautiful grain and the most amazing tone colors. The finishing details of the bindings and the workmanship inside are simply perfect.
The sound of this Francisco Barba is truly amazing. The basses are deep and growling and the trebles are bright and transparent. It has a beautiful carrying sound and a perfect balance between bass and treble. Simply an incredible flamenco timbre. It combines power and volume with quality and perfect sound quality in a sublime way.
This flamenco guitar is perfectly set up. It has a straight neck and a low string action. It plays with great ease. The action at the 12th fret is E6 2.9 mm and E1 2.5 mm. The scale length of the guitar is 655 mm. The nut width is 52 mm.
The condition of this Francisco Barba is very good. It has only slight traces of use and wear.
