Epiphone FT-45 Cortez 1963 - This guitar is a real cannon!
Not just because the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix and Kurt Cobain played Epiphone guitars ... this guitar sounds breathtakingly beautiful, looks incredibly cool and plays like butter.
This Epiphone sounds better than many of the Gibsons from the 60s that we have had so far. Epiphone was acquired by Gibson in 1957. Gibson moved production from New York to Kalamazoo, and for many years Epiphone built virtually the same guitars as Gibson - just under a different name and with a slightly different design.
Musicians such as Paul McCartney of the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain and Peter Frampton, to name but a few, made these guitars famous worldwide.
The guitar is in beautiful vintage condition, only the adjustable bridge (ADJ) has been replaced.
It has a wonderfully open vintage sound. It unfolds its full charm especially when strumming - with fine basses combined with a gentle vintage nuance in the overall sound. The sound has a slightly woody character and creates an almost mystical atmosphere. At the same time, the guitar is very balanced and offers the most beautiful timbres.
The playability is excellent: it has a straight neck with a low string action (2.1 mm E and 1.5 mm e at the 12th fret) and well-preserved frets.
The guitar is supplied with a gig bag.
