While Gerundino built his reputation as a master luthier, Eladio traveled the world as a professional flamenco guitarist, performing on prestigious stages and perfecting his understanding of the instrument from a player's perspective. This deep connection to music later shaped his own guitar making when he began making guitars with his brother.

The Fernandez brothers' workshop is still located in Almería - a city with a rich guitar-making tradition that is considered the birthplace of the modern guitar, in particular thanks to the legendary Antonio Torres.
