Benito Ferrer 1909 - historically valuable guitar by the founder of the School of Granada, with an incredible sound!

Benito Ferrer (1845-1925) is considered the father and founder of the famous Granada school of guitar making, which is represented today by Manuel de la Chica, Antonio Marin Montero and many other famous guitar makers.
According to luthier Richard Bruné, some of the Ferrer guitars built in the classic Torres style appeared on the market with authentic Torres labels. This is clear proof of the sound quality of the Ferrer instruments, which were made in a very traditional way.
A Ferrer guitar was given to the young Andres Segovia, who played it for many years. It was also a Ferrer guitar from 1906 that Manuel De Falla used when composing his beautiful Homenaje.

This guitar is an impressively well-preserved instrument for its age. It still has the original varnish. Some cracks have been repaired and the guitar is 100% ready to play.

You can imagine the incredible sound of this guitar just by looking at it.
The woods have naturally matured wonderfully after more than 100 years and produce an incredibly beautiful vintage sound. The guitar responds immediately and has great dynamics.
It is a very elegant example of Ferrer's best instruments. The tone is truly beautiful - rich and silky, mellow and full, combining the best qualities of a spruce top with the unique sound of Granada's finest guitars. The separation between the notes is clear and incredibly balanced across the entire range.
The guitar is absolutely comparable to the best guitars you know from Torres.

The guitar has a scale length of 650 mm and a nut width of 50 mm. It has a spruce top and cypress back and sides.
It is perfectly adjusted and plays very easily with a straight neck and a low string action.
