Asturias guitars is a workshop that produces handmade guitars with the highest reputation in quality. The workshop is located in the city of Kurume on the island of Kyushu (Japan) and today has 15 highly skilled craftsmen from all over the country. They build high-end classical guitars.
Since 1962, their production has been limited to a small number of handmade instruments. Their classical guitars are available on today's market for €2000 - around €6000.
This guitar is the model 500 and was built in the 80s by master craftsman M. Matano. It is the highest model of the series at that time and was built with the best woods, the most careful craftsmanship and the most beautiful features.

It is a beautiful instrument, in good condition and very easy to play.
Beautiful rosewood was used for the back and sides and it has a very good spruce top. Asturias is known for using only high-quality wood that has been dried over many years and has therefore matured wonderfully.
The guitar has a very charming sound and is very similar to the instruments of Kohno and Sakurai.
A crack was professionally repaired many years ago and the guitar is otherwise in very good condition. It had one previous owner who owned it the whole time and only played it in the living room.
