Antonio Stradivari Baroque guitar 1679 - an excellent replica - fine and original sound!

Stradivari was not only famous for his violins. He also made guitars and other plucked instruments.
This replica was made after a Stradivarius from 1679, which is in the Cremona Museum.

A beautiful and very well executed replica by Miguel Dominguez from Algecircas (Spain). He studied with Carlos Gonzalez. Miguel Dominguez builds these historical instruments by hand using historically correct materials and working methods.

Stradivarius model 1679
Scale length: 670 mm
Back and sides: maple
Top: Spruce
Neck: cedar wood
Inlays: bone and ebony.
Rosette: Peral and parchment.
Lacquering: Shellac and oil for the top.

The sound is breathtaking - transparent and light. Very clear and absolutely charming. The guitar also has good sustain and captivates with fine and sweet tones.
It is an absolute pleasure to play this fine instrument and to be whisked away to distant lands and bygone times.
