He received his training from George Moore Bowden, with whom he later worked for many years. After Bowden's death, Morales continued to run the workshop in Palma. Morales is best known for his close relationship with Paco de Lucía, who played many of his guitars and appreciated their exceptional sound quality and workmanship. Other famous musicians such as Tomatito and Vicente Amigo have also played Morales guitars and thus cemented their place in the flamenco world.
