In 2019, we discovered Juan Fernandez Utrera's store and guitars by chance during a trip to Spain.
We were immediately impressed, because such great-sounding guitars are rare to find.
That is why we have decided to include Utrera guitars in our program. We are pleased to present this Torres reproduction, which he made especially for us.
Juan Fernandez Utrera is still a relatively young guitar maker from Granada. We really like his guitars.
This guitar is modeled after the Antonio de Torres „La Suprema“ FE 19 from 1864. It is very light, has a spruce top and beautiful back and sides made of cypress.
The scale length is 650 mm and the nut width is 50 mm. It can be played extremely well over the entire neck.
In terms of sound, this guitar impresses with a very sweet, but also very powerful tone of unusual substance. It is a very charming instrument. The woods produce a beautiful and sweet tone. It has a great richness and a harmonic quality. The tones blend together beautifully and yet retain their clarity and separation. The cypress also gives the sound a quick response.
The sound can also be incredibly powerful - really a good copy of the Antonio de Torres „La Suprema“ FE 19.
